What is brain-state conditioning?

Corresponding sound, and in some instances images, to particular activity of the brain is the core of brain-state conditioning. This correspondence can be used in exercises designed to give a person access to the function and feeling of certain states of consciousness associated with their goals (ultimately neuroplasticity and its offerings). It is a discipline to some degree, because it demands that a person sit in a chair, wearing electrodes that read brain activity, and listen to the melodic sound of the correspondence. The person being trained follows a sort of long-term pleasure principle, over a period of time, and accomplishes certain tasks to stimulate the brain-activities desired.

How is brain-state conditioning accomplished?

Using a receiver that detects tiny amounts of electrical activity, (readable from the scalp via electrodes), a compact, battery-powered computer, and ear-buds, a loop can be created and certain subtle brain-activities corresponded to sounds and light that the brain recognizes as its own. In a similar manner to fine-tuning an instrument, the client is given the sound of their current activity and follows the feeling of pleasure, accomplishing goals or just being aware of mood and sensations, as a musician would the sound of notes and chords. A spirit of lighthearted play produces the most rapid results, with the emphasis placed on feeling the desired “zone”.

Are there any risks involved?

TUN technologies uses battery-powered components. Exercises are chosen based on a snapshot of brain-activity and an assessment of it. As clients progress, their exercises may change as well. Clients are encouraged to adhere to a conscious decision to eat properly during the course of their sessions, but training is scheduled to fit nearly any lifestyle. Sobriety is also strongly encouraged for at least a week before and three weeks after the two week training-period, because the actions of intoxicants slow the process in various ways.

Why would someone want to train their brain?

There is a vast variety of benefits associated with a brain operating in balance and harmony. The states of mind demanded for dealing with the challenges of living can be honed with brain-state conditioning. Focus, decision-making, willpower, intuition, intent, memory, awareness, and the mind-body connection are all aspects of consciousness that can be bolstered by training. By handling sensory and stored information more adeptly, via the proper “zone” (allowed for by the brain’s reorganization of itself), the client reduces the stress involved in its accomplishment of tasks. This has a profound effect on overall stress-levels, which can be carried from task to task, and persist beyond the immediate.
